I believe his exact phrasing was something like, “You’re one of the only Indian girls I’ve ever found attractive (interesting!),” as though it was a fun fact, and an exclamation mark would somehow soften the message’s blow.
I’m a little disturbed by how closely I identify with the points of this article. I recommend that most people read the whole thing.
